I had the pleasure this weekend of meeting and shooting this beautiful mommy & daddy-to-be, as they await the upcoming arrival of their first baby girl any day now!!!...We had a fun filled afternoon of heading here, there and everywhere, and even though mommy knew in her head the specific shots she was looking for, she was also super awesome to let me experiment a little with her precious baby bump, and try a few funky & different styled shots as well :) ...I love a mommy who not only knows what she wants, but also feels comfortable enough to trust me to "play around" a bit!!!...Hopefully the two styles mesh well together for mommy, and y'all will enjoy this little sneak peek as you patiently wait for your sweet baby girl to make her big arrival in the coming days (or hours even?!?!) and I can't wait to meet little miss P for her newborn session in the very near future!!!...Enjoy and remember, there's lots more to come!!!...-EPJ

AND THE WINNER IS...

WOW!!!...What a wonderful response we had to our 1st annual Image of the Year Contest!!!...Thank you so much again and again and again to all of my wonderful clients, family and friends!...Y'all make my job so wonderful, and words alone could never express my gratitude for all that you do to help make my job as fun, exciting, creative and special as it always is, day in and day out!...So, of course, without further ado, the winners list :)...Our 2008 Image of the Year, winner of a 16x20 wall mounted print AND a complimentary session fee for 2009, with a landslide win of just over 33% of the vote, is none other than image #20!!!...Congratulations baby J!

And coming in not too far behind in second place, winning a complimentary 8x10 print of their winning image, is image #5, sweet baby boy M :)!!!...Congrats to you baby M!

Happy New Year everyone!...And what a year 2008 was!...Thank you so much to all of my wonderful clients, family & friends who made '08 truly great :)...I am looking forward to seeing what 2009 holds for everyone and I hope to see you all for your '09photo sessions very soon!...So many wonderful changes are in store for Elana P. Jones Photography this year and I can't wait to share it all with you...Coming in the very near future, we'll be opening our very first studio location on the town square!!!...We can't wait to see you all there very soon!...In the mean time, I had so much fun going back through my 2008 sessions and looking for my own personal favorites from each session...It was NOT an easy task though, that's for sure!...I loved each session so, so much!...So, now, without further ado, here are my choices for some of my own personal favorites of 2008!...

The photo which receives the most votes will receive a 16x20 mounted wall print of the winning image, as well as a complimentary session fee to use in 2009!!!...Also, the second & third place winners will receive a complimentary 8x10 of their winning image!!!...So, now it's up to you, your family, your friends, your co-workers, and anyone and everyone else who just happens upon this blog, to choose your most favorite image for 2008!!!...Voting is open to all, so feel free to forward this post along to everyone you know, but PLEASE, only one vote per computer!!!...Remember, no cheating, as I can check the IP addresses of the vote, and if there are multiple votes from the same IP address, you will be disqualified...I understand that it will be hard to chose only one and also that there may be multiple images per family, but let's please keep it honest so everyone has a fair chance!...Voting will end January 10th, 2009 at midnight...

LITTLE SWEET CHEEKS!

So, this weekend we hosted the annual family Christmas party for my husband's side of the family, and this little precious angel is my Mother-in-law's cousin's baby boy (I think I got that right?!?!)...Well, of course I just couldn't let them leave the party without doing a super quick (and I do mean SUPER QUICK!) mini-session...We went outside as everyone was starting to leave, and due to the cold and the wind, I don't think we were out there for more than 4 minutes total, and in those 4 minutes I took exactly 27 shots, and of those 27, only one shot had his eyes closed, so not too shabby for a 4 minute mini-session, huh?!?!?...Well, it's no wonder that all 26 images are as adorable as can be, with those scrumptious cheeks and those gorgeous baby blue eyes, I knew it was a photo session made in heaven!...Of course, with every image being so darn cute, I couldn't decide what to post as a sneak peek on the blog today, so I'll just post as many as can fit and I'll have the rest posted on my website real soon for mommy and daddy to see...Hope everyone is having a truly wonderful holiday season...Merry Christmas Eve to you all and I'll be back soon with more!...-EPJ

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY!

Without a doubt, that was the fastest year that has ever gone by!...I swear it was just the other day that little J came to see me for his first session, and now here he is celebrating the big O-N-E!!!...I can't even believe it, so I know that if I can't believe it, than his mommy and daddy are probably more in shock than me!...Well, we had a super fun, albeit super MESSY session, that ended with us throwing little J in the bathtub and J's daddy scrubbing my playroom floors clean :)...Here you go mommy & daddy...Just a little sneak peek for your Monday afternoon enjoyment...Of course y'all know the routine by now, plenty more to come in the near future!!!...Enjoy and hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season...-EPJ

ISN'T SHE LOVELY?

Isn't she beautiful???...That's the only song that comes to mind as I sit here looking back at some of my favorite images of the beautiful bride (and her equally handsome groom!) from this past weekend's festivities...It truly couldn't have been a more beautiful day, and I'm so thrilled that I got to be a part of it all...Thank you all so, so much for including me!!!...It was incredibly hard to sit down and go through all the oodles and oodles of shots from the day, and narrow it down to just a few sneak peeks, so hope you enjoy these few, as there are definitely LOTS and LOTS more to come!...Hope y'all are having a wonderful honeymoon you two, and I look forward to sharing the rest with you in the near future!!!...Oh, and even though you know I'm a Crimson and White girl through and through, for your sake KL, and all the "Roll Tides" that you and your wonderful family so graciously put up with over the weekend, just for you and just this once, I'll end this post with a great big "WAR EAGLE!"...Oh my, that was harder to do that I thought it would be!...See ya soon!!!...-EPJ

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY JOB!

I really have lost count of how many times I've said it in the past, and I'm pretty sure you'll hear me say it again in the very near future, but man oh man, do I LOVE my job!!!...I am so incredibly blessed to be able to meet all the amazing people that I meet, and capture all these incredibly special moments in all of their lives...I mean really, does it get any better than that?!?!...And of course, sweet baby boy J is no exception!!!...I have been fortunate enough to see him "grow-up" (if you will) over the past nine months, and change from a teensy weensy little newbie, into a (almost!) little boy!!!...I can't get over it...I mean, he's this little teeny preemie one second, and a chunky-monkey, speed crawlin', tongue stickin' out, laughin' little man the next!...Time passes WAY too fast!...And I already can't wait for our next session...He'll be a cake smashing one year old the next time we meet!!!...We'll have a blast at that session, too!...In the mean time, here's some little sneaks for mommy and daddy of this past weekend...We had a great session with LOTS of great shots, and since I had a hard time deciding on only a few of my favorites for this preview, just know that there are LOTS, LOTS, LOTS more to come!!!...Enjoy!...-EPJ
