Almost there!...Nearly done catching myself up and BOY does it feel good!!!...So let's get right to it and do it, shall we?!?!?...Well, this next super sweet family came to see me all the way from the ATL (although MawMaw and PaPa are fellow Talladegans, like myself)...Mommy actually called me just as the Christmas season was getting underway, but we were so crazy swamped with our holiday madness, that January was the earliest we could get everybody in...So, Mommy, Daddy and C & C (and their puppy dog, too!) headed this way over the weekend and like troopers, we all braved the freezing cold and the blistering winds to get the job done :)...And I tell you what, to look at some of these fabulouso shots, you'd just never know how crazy cold we all were (but trust me, we were!!!)...So here y'all go!...Just a little teaser to hold you all over...Hope y'all enjoy and as you know, I'll be back again shortly...See y'all then!...-EPJ

Well, I'm still a wee bit out of order, but at least I'm nearly caught up :) ...So, bare with me a couple more days for just a few more late postings...Ok, so it was just before Christmas and I received a phone call from the Gigi of these two little beauties!!!...It seemed that little Miss G was getting ready to lose a tooth and we needed a portrait taken STAT!!!...Thankfully for Gigi and mommy and daddy and everyone else, that sweet tooth held on until I returned from Christmas break!...So, just after the holidays, I loaded up my gear and headed over to Gigi's beautiful house, where we took oodles upon oodles of pics of Miss G and her baby sister, Miss M, and then capped the afternoon off with a lovely tea party with some of our best bunny friends :) ...It was too much sweetness even for this mommy of three girls to handle!!!...Hope you enjoy your little tease everyone and hold onto your hats, because there are LOTS more coming up soon!!!...Be back soon with more :) ...-EPJ

Oooopsie daisy!...I'm a couple of days behind where I thought I would be with my blog postings for this week, so, instead of doing only one update today, get ready, 'cause it's catch-up time!!!...Ok, so these are totally and completely out of order (and more postings to come over the weekend, or early next week for sure), but for now, here's a few sneaks of a couple of my most recent sessions...First up, the absolutely beautiful Miss A came in last week to see me for a simple little head-shot studio session...She's getting prepared for her first pageant since she was two years old (8 years ago!), and judging from how she handles herself in front of a camera, I know she's gonna go far!!!...AND, regardless of what happens in next month's pageant, I'm totally sold on her entering into the acting world, because she was totally working the camera and her expressions and personality are just to die for!!!...I think it's the middle child syndrome in her, because my middle one is a total super-star, too!!!...So then, a few days after my visit from Miss A, little Mr. J came in over the weekend for his two year session...I can't believe he's already TWO!!!...I've had the privilege of shooting J since he was only 6 weeks old and then again at 3 months, 6 months, 9 months AND one year!!!...Now he's practically a little man running around, talking, playing, etc, etc, etc...We had a great time, and even scooted outside for a few minutes for a couple of shots in the rain...But J and his momma and daddy were total troopers, and we barely even noticed the rain coming down all over us...So, sorry for the backup around here and thank you ever so much for y'alls patience...The good news is, that I'm almost finally caught up...Whatever will I do with myself once I'm all caught up??? ;) ...Only kidding, I'll certainly have plenty to do since I've got session after session after session on the horizon!...I can't wait!!!...Ok, stay tuned, because I still have a birth, a newborn session and a sister session to show off in the coming days, plus a family session coming in from the ATL tomorrow, and a 3 year old session mid-week next week, and a one month and family session next weekend...Whew!!!...Love, love, love it!!!...Ok, see y'all again soon!!!...G'nite all :) ...-EPJ

Okey dokey artichokeys!!!...Here we go again!...Blog, blog, blog, blog, blog...That's what the next few days are going to be like around here, while I attempt to play catch-up from the holiday craziness of '09...But I'm totally LOVING it and wouldn't have it any other way!...So, when last we left one another, I do believe that I mentioned a number of fabulous sessions that I had the pleasure of being a part of as the old year wrapped up and the new year began...This "little" guy came to see me all the way from the big city of Gadsden, and I do use the term "little" very, VERY loosely...At just four months old, I believe he was well over the 20+ lb. mark according to his sweet mama, and he was wearing those rolls and workin' it for the camera like none other!!!...As his mommy (an old friend of mine from my days back in T-town!) says, "He puts the ROLL in ROLL TIDE!", and when he's bringing home yet another National Championship for Bama in oh, about 18-20 years, I'll be so proud to say that I knew him when ;) ...So, here's the ever so delicious J-man...Couldn't you seriously eat him up?!?!...I can't wait to get my hands on him and his beautiful big sister once Spring arrives...It should be too much cuteness for me to handle!...So, enjoy boys and girls, and get ready, 'cause there's still lots more to follow!!!...-EPJ

Happy NEW YEAR y'all!!!!...And what an awesome 2010 it's shaping up to be!!!...So, I betcha y'all think I fell off the face of the earth for a little bit, didn't you?!?!...Nope, I didn't...I just took a well needed vacation over the holidays and bonded and relaxed with my family for the first time in what seemed like forever...It was wonderful, and my girls and myself THANK YOU all so much for allowing us that time together, and allowing the blog and work in general, to go to the way-side for just a wee little bit there...But now, we're back and off and running and can't wait to see what this year holds in store for us!!!...If it's anything like 2009, it will be an AMAZING year, because EPJ Photography, has the most AMAZING clients/family/friends that anyone could ever ask for!!!...So, even though y'all haven't seen or heard much from me in the last few weeks, and even though I had a wonderful vacation with my girlies and my hubs over the holidays, don't think for a second that I wasn't as busy as a bee, because boy oh boy was I!!!...I have had the honor and utmost pleasure these last few weeks of being a part of an absolutely gorgeous winter wedding, the birth and newborn session of my dearest friend's new baby girl, a four month session with the happiest, chunkiest baby boy of all time, a headshot session with a breathtakingly beautiful 10 year old, a 2 year session with one of my favorite little guys who's been visiting me since he was 6 weeks old, and two of the sweetest little sisters who were "hosting" a tea party with their precious toy bunnies...And when I wasn't shooting my wonderful clients or spending quality time with the fam, I was in Nashville TN enjoying being a part of the most fabulous photography trade show and convention that I could ever even begin to imagine!!!...Just wait til y'all see all the amazing new things coming to EPJ Photography in the coming weeks...You'll just die!!!...Is there any better job in the world than this I ask you?!?!...Nope, I think not!!!...So, get ready y'all, 'cause this blog is about to BLOW UP in the coming days!!!...And on top of all that, we're already booking well into 2010!!!...I just love you guys so much and am so excited about this coming year!!!...Ok, so, let's get right to this then, shall we?...In mid-December, two of my favoritest people I've ever had the pleasure of working with, walked down the aisle, and lucky, lucky me, I was there to capture it all!!!...What a fabulous day, full of fun, full of friends, full of laughs, full of tears and most importantly, full of LOVE!!!...So, since T & T have been so patient while waiting for me to come back into the land of the living, I have a slightly longer blog sneaky-peeky today than usual...So, enjoy Mr. & Mrs. W, and hold onto your hats, because there are LOTS LOTS LOTS more where these came from!!!...See y'all again VERY soon ;) ...-EPJ

What a beautiful and fabulous way to end what turned out to be a beautiful and fabulous holiday weekend!!!...After yesterday's super quick blog post, I rushed out the door to head to yet another perfect session!!!...How lucky am I???...So, this precious little doll baby and her momma and daddy, came to see me after weeks upon weeks of anticipation...Little Miss L is getting ready to turn the big O-N-E in just over a week or so, and I had the utmost pleasure of capturing her one year pics for the whole family to enjoy for years to come, and it was truly my honor to do so!!!...L was completely like a seasoned champ when it came to having her pictures taken, and she was working my camera like a total rock star!!!...As usual for me, it wasn't exactly easy picking out just a small sample of my favorites to tease on the blog today, so just know, there are tons, tons, tons more where these came from!...Hope y'all enjoy and I'll be back again soon with more!...-EPJ

Hello and goodbye!...This is going to be a super quick today post because I have a LOT of ground to cover and not a lot of time in which to do it, so here we gooooooooooo!!!!!!...Yesterday was of course just pure PERFECTION!!!...First, in the morning, sweet little Miss A came back to visit me, and this time she brought her equally beautiful and sweet big sister, Miss M...We were rockin' around the Christmas tree for a little while, but then apparently we tuckered Miss A slap out, 'cause that baby was out like a light and NOTHING and NO ONE was going to wake her from her sweet dreams (just like when she came to see me for her newborn session nearly 3 months ago!)...But I couldn't have been happier that she drifted off, because when I look at this yummy baby girl fast asleep in front of the Christmas tree, well, I just wanna pinch her delicious little chunky-monkey self!!!...So, then yesterday afternoon, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with the beautiful T & S and boy did we have a blast doing their engagement session!...I haven't talked that much and laughed that hard in a LONG LONG time!!!...I didn't even want to leave, and OH, the stories I could tell ;) ...But I won't!...I'm saving them for a rainy day when I need a good laugh :)...So, without further ado, I present you with a little tease of Miss A and Miss M's morning"Merry Mini", and T & S's fantabulous afternoon e-session!!!...I enjoyed yesterday so much because of all of you, so thanks to each of you for helping to make my Thanksgiving weekend so wonderful...See y'all again real soon!...-EPJ

Today was...well, today was just, W-O-W!...Today was one of those days where everything in the world just seems to make sense...The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the temperature was perfection, the beautiful fall leaves were changing colors, and baby boy J was able to celebrate his 2nd birthday with more love in one room, than most of us have probably ever felt in an entire lifetime...You see, this sweet little man was welcomed into this world exactly two years ago yesterday, and for him to have made it to a day like this, was nothing short of a lot of love and even a lot more prayer...Shortly after his birth, J was diagnosed with a rare condition called RCDP (Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata)...You can read more about J's condition and follow his story, sign his guestbook, make donations, or just simply offer your thoughts and prayers to him and his loving family, by visiting his CaringBridge website... When I was asked recently by his sweet Aunt to be even a teensy little part of this amazing day, and asked to capture it on my camera, well let's just say that I was beyond honored to do so...Words cannot express the happiness that this sweet little boy brings into the lives of those who know and love him...I mean, just look at that handsome little smile, and I assure you, you can't help but smile right back! :) ...His mommy, his daddy and his super proud big brother, along with the rest of the family and friends whom I met today, are so truly blessed...All I can say to each and every one of you is a great big huge THANK YOU so, so, so very much for allowing me the privilege to be a part of J's big day...And to J, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweet boy, and a special "grunt-grunt" to you ;) ...Enjoy your preview everyone (I think this is hands down the longest preview in the history of my blog!) and of course, I'll be back again soon with more...-EPJ

OK, STOP IT!...Stop it, stop it, stop it!!!...Are you kidding me?!?!...First of all, mid seventies in mid November = perfection, perfection, perfection!!!...Then add to that, the one and only precious little Miss P and her super sweet Mommy and Daddy, all of whom I've had the pleasure of shooting since little P was a peanut in her mommy's belly, and then again at just a wee little month old doll-baby, and now here she is visiting me at 10 months old!!!...And just look at her!!!...Those eyes, those cheeks, that smile; I could seriously just eat her up!!!...So, on top of the fabulous weather, and on top of the yummy little Miss P, and on top of the fact that I want to tease y'all with every single beyond adorable picture from today's session ('cause there are TONS!), I then get home and you'll never believe it: I'm all alone!!!...YAY!!!!...No screaming little girls, no one taking me away from my computer, so I get to sit here and have the absolute pleasure of actually editing AND blogging immediately after getting home from my session...Could this day be anymore perfect?!?!...I think not!...Ok, so without further ado, here you go mommy and dadddy...A little sneak peek of your beautiful baby girl's first Christmas pictures...There is just nothing more special ;) ...Y'all enjoy and I'll be back again soon with more!!!...-EPJ

Alrighty boys and girls, here comes yet another super duper fast post because I have a football game and three crazy little girls to get back to ;)...So, today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting up with M & M to do their highly anticipated and BEE-YOOO-TIFUL, I might add, engagement session...I mean seriously, ever since I got home tonight, I have been looking back at some of the amazing shots we got today and I am truly in awe at the beauty of where we spent our afternoon...Miss M's mom has some fabulous friends who live on the most amazingly gorgeous property I have ever had the pleasure of shooting on, and I just feel so thankful and honored that they invited us to shoot there today...Thank you, thank you, thank you for having us today, and I hope you all enjoy the little tease I'm posting below...You know there's lots more where these came from and I can't wait for you to see them all very soon!...I'll be back shortly, as I'm sure you all know by now, and in the mean time, ROOOOOOLLLLLLLL TIDE ROLL!!! Okey dokey artichokeys, get ready for a whirlwind of a fast blog post, because this lady has got some work to get back to, and PRONTO!...I think I now know what Santa must feel like as the countdown to Christmas begins :) ...I've got lots of people out there counting on me, and I can't let them down, so back to work I go, but not before posting a super quick tease from this weekend's sessions...First up, the C family and I met up first thing Saturday morning, and boy oh boy, did we have fun together!!!...I gotta tell you mama and daddy, I have LOTS and LOTS of favorites that I'm dying for you to see, but I saved the very best for y'alls Christmas card surprise, so just know that y'all have some super-duper fabulous ones to look forward to in the very near future!!!...These two still warmed my heart though, and I know they'll do the same for y'all, too!...Ok, so then next up, I headed off to the big city for the remainder of the weekend, where I had the pleasure of chauffeuring daughter #1 to her first ever piano hymn festival (which, she did quite well with by the way!!!) and then I got to hang around for the remainder of the weekend and catch up with my own mommy and daddy and my brother and his family, as well...And always a treat to me, I had the honor of spending time with and shooting a very special session of my two little beautiful nieces!...B & S are always fun for me to play around with and act like a crazy, goofy loon...So, we snuck away from their mommy and daddy for an hour or so, and had a great ol' time and took lots of great pics!...And since mommy and daddy stayed home per my recommendation, this little preview is really going to be quite the surprise for them, because they had NO idea what we were up to running off together ;) ...So, everyone enjoy your teeny tiny teases and I'll have lots more soon!...The holiday schedule is officially booked solid, but there is a waiting list which could very well open up a few more dates, so be sure to contact me today to get your name added to the list!...You don't want to miss out!!!...Hope you all had a great Monday and here's hoping the rest of your week is fabulous, too!...See y'all again soon!!!...-EPJ

Hello, hello, hello!!!...I'm back with another super quick preview from today's super quick mini-session :)...I'm SO thankful that this session worked out because, for about a second there this morning, it was looking like one of my "mommy-jobs" was going to have to win out for the first time in a long time, and get in the way of one of my "photography-jobs"...But, little N's momma and I made it work out, and a session which was supposed to initially take place tomorrow afternoon, got pushed up to first thing tomorrow morning, and then finally, with only about 2 hours to spare, it got pushed up to TODAY!!!...I'm so glad, too, because little N was a just the sweetest little doll ever!...At just two years of age, he was definitely all boy, and I was loving every second of it!!!...The dirt, the gravel, the tractor and trucks that mesmerized him; what's not to love about that?!?...So, you know the drill, a super quick tease on the blog before the rest are up in the coming days ahead...Tomorrow, I'm off to do an early morning session that's been in the works for just about forever, so I'm pretty excited about that!!!...Then immediately after we finish up, I'm off to take my #1 daughter to the Ham to participate in her first ever Hymn Festival since beginning piano lessons just over a year ago , and then, to really round out the weekend, one more fabulous session in Birmingham before this photog heads home to officially crash and burn ;)...I'm so tired just thinking about it and typing about it, that I think I'm about to call it a night!...Sweet dreams to you all and I'll be back later this weekend with lots more...No sense in slowing down now, right?!?!...G'night everyone and see y'all again real soon!...-EPJ

Happy Thursday everyone!...As I sit here editing pictures, updating the blog, having a delicious cup of Pumpkin Pie coffee, and listening to my favorite TV show in the history of TV shows playing in the background (F-R-I-E-N-D-S!!!), I find myself for the first time in a long while at a loss for what to say next...You see, this posting in particular is very special to me...Almost two years ago exactly, I was preparing to move myself and my wonderful family from Georgia across state lines to our new sweet home in Alabama...Sure, I had my husband and my babies coming with me, and of course all of our extended family would be very close by, but there was still definitely something missing...A few months after getting settled in our new home, I was introduced (a number of different times before she actually remembered me) to M...From the get go (like, the third first time we met), we just clicked...In no time at all, M and B became not just friends of ours, but they've become a huge part of our family as well...Now, M and B are extending "our" little family, and adding one more precious little girl to our collection...In just about 6 more weeks, AH will be making her big arrival and I truly believe, hands down, that she will be the most loved little girl in the history of little girls to ever come into this world!...So yesterday, it was my honor and privilege (after nearly 8 months of trying to convince her to do so) to capture these beautiful images of one of the most beautiful mommies-to-be that I know, so that she could always remember her special time with her little girl before they get the pleasure of meeting face-to-face...M doesn't realize it yet, but these pictures will not only be near and dear to her heart in the coming years, but they'll be something AH will cherish always and forever, as well...So, enough of my senseless ramblings...Here's a little sneak peek for you both M and B...Just remember, if you're even half as good at the "mommy-daddy" thing as you are at being friends, then y'all will both be beyond amazing...I love y'all!...Peace out...-EPJ

NOVEMBER?!?!?!...Oh my goodness, you've got to be kidding me!...This year has just beyond flown by!...Today is my dear mother-in-law's birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY NONNA!) and in less than a month my middle baby will be turning six :( , and in just over a month two of my very best friends in the world will be welcoming their new little bundles of joy into the world...What a wonderfully fabulous way to end what has been a wonderfully fabulous year!...But with only about 8 or so weeks to go in 2009, there's still no slowing me down!!!...I have quite a few Merry Mini sessions to go, as well as a few full sessions, a fantabulous WEDDING coming up, and lest we not forget the holidays and throwing a wee bit of family time in there somewhere and somehow, too :) ...Whoa!!!...I need a nap just thinking about all there is left to do in the coming weeks!...If you haven't scheduled your holiday "Merry Minis" session with EPJ Photography yet, CALL TODAY because space is very, VERY limited!!!...Only a teensy tiny handful of sessions are still available before the new year!...In the mean time, here's a little sneaky peeky guaranteed to make you smile!...This little man is gearing up for his big #2 birthday in just a couple more days, and the last time I had the pleasure of having him in front of my lens, he was all of two weeks old...My how he's changed, and my how active he has become since that first session ;)...By the end of it all, I don't know who was more tired; the baby, the baby's mama, or the photographer!...Either way, I had a great time trying to keep up with Mr. H yesterday, and since his mama and daddy are close friends of ours, and since I can't ever pass up an opportunity to pester H's daddy just a wee little bit, I have to just say, bless that baby's heart in this last picture...His mean ol' daddy just had to have a shot of his baby boy with that icky old orange and blue helmet, and since H is WAY smarter than his daddy ;), he wasn't having any part of it...He's saying, "Get this nasty thing off of me!!!"...Ha!...I love it!...By the time that boy is three, I'll be having him chant "Yea Alabama" and wearing some handsome colors, like crimson and white ;)...Can I get a "ROLL TIDE"?!?....Hahahahaha!!!...Only teasin' Chipper :)...You know I love ya!...Enjoy y'alls preview and of course, there's lots more to come...See y'all again soon...-EPJ

Ahhhhhh, "Monday, Monday (la, la, la la la la)"...I know that most of us, most of the time, DREAD Mondays, but I welcome a day of rest...Well, it's sortof a day of rest, as I almost never this time of year get an actual day off...Maybe soon, but for now, it's work, work, work, just like I like it...And of course, this weekend didn't disappoint...It was mini-session, family time, mini-session, family, etc, etc, etc...Now you can see why I'm a big fan of restful Mondays ;)...I get to send the whole fam out the door and then kick back with a big ol' cup of pumpkin spice coffee (maybe 3 big ol' cups today!) and edit the day away...I've got lots and lots of you waiting for your beautiful pictures oh so patiently, and since I don't want to disappoint, I'm off!...But of course, not before teasing a few of you with a few little sneaks from this weekend...First up is little man, JT, whom I've had the utmost pleasure of shooting since before he even made his big arrival in this world, and then again when he was a smiley little 8 day old, and now, as a chunky monkey 3 month old!...He is still the smilingest little man ever...I LOVE it!...Then on Sunday, I was lucky enough to meet up with the B family...I've been planning a session with this gorgeous mama for goodness only knows how long now, so by the time we officially met, it felt like we already knew each other!...So, J, C and little man B (along with a few appearances from Bubba the Monkey, and the always popular Barney the Dinosaur!) ventured out with me to shoot on what I swear had to be the most perfect day ever!...The Fall colors on the trees and the temperature in the air, oh, it was just complete and total bliss!...So, here ya go everybody...Hope y'all enjoy and you know you'll all see me again real soon ;)...-EPJ

Another fun mini-session down, another fabulous mini-preview to post!!!...Yesterday afternoon, I was visited by this precious little chunky monkey, and although he wasn't too sure what to think of me and all my crazy picture taking ways, I thought that he was just beyond too cute for words!...I mean really, boys aren't supposed to be this pretty, are they?!?!...Look at those eyes!!!...I couldn't even bring myself to post a black and white because with baby-blues like that, it's just not right :)...Hope you enjoy your little tease mommy, daddy & big brother, and of course, I'll be back again soon with more!...-EPJ

Hey guys and happy football Saturday to each and every one of you ;) !...Well, hopefully by now everyone has had a chance to check out the new website and hopefully, like me, y'all LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!...As you can probably see, the blog itself is still quite a work in progress...Pretty soon (maybe once all the pre-holiday madness wears down), we'll be unveiling our brand new amazingly awesome blog for all to see...I can't wait for you to check out what I've got in store for you!!!...But, in the mean time, it's work, work, work for me and I couldn't be happier about that!...So, today I had the absolute pleasure of shooting this BEE-YOO-TIFUL senior young lady who came to see me all the way from the Ham!...We had a ball together braving the cold rainy outdoors for a few fun, urbany shots, and then finishing up inside so that we could do a little more of a traditional portrait to make mom and dad's day :)...But of course, you know me, I couldn't stick with the traditional stuff too long, so we had to finish up with a fun little twist ;) ...Hopefully, it's just the right combination to make everyone happy...I know when I look back at the fabulous shots we got today, I can't help but smile...I'll let you go check them out now so you can see for yourself!!!...Enjoy and you know the drill; I'll be back soon with tons more!...-EPJ

Alrighty boys and girls!!!...Today is the day!...My big news finally revealed!!!...Well, you may or may not be as excited about this as I am, but after more than 8 months (that's right, I said EIGHT!!!) of playing around and attempting to design my new and improved website, it's finally done and it's finally LIVE!!!!...Sure, there are still a few minor tweaks that I'll work on a bit here and there, but it's done, and it is AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!!!...You must, must, must check it out pronto!...I have to give a great big huge "shout out" thank you to the UBER-talented Amy Grace of Candy Apple Studios for my insanely beautiful new logo and marketing design...I {heart} her so, so much!...Please go check her out and let her know how amazing you think she is, too!...Also, a major thank you, thank you, thank you to the fantabulistic Josh Holley for his musical genius and allowing me to use his fabu voice and musical skills as my home page "theme song", if you will ;)...Be sure to visit him over at his website as well, and you'll find even more of his awesome music for you to add to your own collection...You'll LOVE him, I can promise you that! Hello, hello again!!!...It's me and I'm back for day two! :)...So, I know that I totally left you all hanging on the edge of your seats yesterday with all my excitement, didn't I?!?!...I assure you, it was all for good reason!...So, of course I was all kinds of excited to kick off our "Merry Minis" yesterday morning and then, on top of all that, I had the absolute pleasure of finally getting to meet little Miss C and do her fantabulous newborn session!!!...It was a long time coming too, because thanks to the good ol' piggy flu that's been going around (although my middle one says "mommy, it's not the piggy flu, it's the 'swan flu'"!), we had to reschedule Miss C's session by a whole week :( ...And you know, a whole entire week in newborn time is a pretty BIG deal!!!...But, at three weeks old, Miss C performed for the camera like a seasoned champ, as did her adoring big brother, Mr. P...So, here you go Mommy and Daddy!!!...Take a look at your absolutely beautiful family of FOUR and I hope you all enjoy!...And finally, on one last note, let's not forget that I have just one more A-M-A-Z-I-N-G thing that I'm DYING, DYING, DYING to share with y'all, but it will have to wait for now ;) ...Stay tuned, because I promise that I'll be back tomorrow to share my news with you all!...Have a great night everyone and I'll see y'all soon!...-EPJ

Y'ALL!!!!...Oh my goodness, I'm soooooo, sooooooo, SOOOOOOO excited!...Ok, first of all, I had an absolutely awesomely-awesome day, and it all started when this gorgeous couple greeted me first thing this morning to help me kick off our very first official "Merry Mini" session of the season!...Whew, that was a mouthful!!!...So, for about 20 minutes, we scurried all over the downtown 'Dega area trying to dodge the impending rain, and found ourselves in some very, VERY interesting spots (*think* orange cones with yellow and black crime scene tape stretched out!!!...OMG!) and we got some super fun, super fabulous shots in the mean time!!!...And, since it was just a quick little ol' mini-session, I'm just gonna do a quick little ol' mini-preview for y'all this evening ;)...So, without further a-do, I present you with the littlest, ittsiest, bittsiest sneak-peek EVER!...Enjoy, because I'll be back tomorrow with some special sneaks from today's beautiful newborn session, too!!!...AND, on top of that, I'm nearly busting at the seams to share some more super-dee-duper exciting news with y'all very, very soon, so STAY TUNED!!!...See y'all tomorrow!!!...-EPJ

Happy Fall Y'all ;)...October is officially here (can you even believe it???) and oooh-wee, this weather is something I can definitely get used to!!!...The past few days couldn't have been any more perfect and if I had it my way, this is how I'd like to keep it 365 days a year!!!...So, yesterday, I drove over to the "Ham" to meet up with my favorite little one year old red-head from T-town!!!...I still can't believe that it's already been over 7 months since we did her last session and at nearly 14 months, she was bound and determined to show off her running skills!...Actually, I think she went straight from crawling to running, and totally by-passed the walking phase ;) but it was my absolute pleasure to chase her around and attempt to keep up with her!...She was such a hoot to watch, too, as she waved and talked to each and every person she met up with along the way...Sweet little Miss D doesn't meet a stranger, that's for sure!...Of course, I've known her mama and daddy for about 12 years now, and there's no doubt in my mind that she definitely gets her sweet disposition from both of them, because they are both total angels!...So, here's just a wee little sneak peek for you mama and daddy...I hope y'all enjoy them, and mama, I have been thinking of you and hoping that you're feeling all better today and over that nasty bug once and for all!...If not, make sure Miss D and daddy are taking real good care of you!!!...Take care everyone and talk to you again real soon!...-EPJ

Well, I must say, there's nothing better than a visit from a beautiful baby to help make a yucky, gloomy weekend seem all better :)...Yesterday's session was planned weeks, if not months in advance, and mommy, daddy and sweet baby L drove all the way from NC to see me (well, and also to see their entire family and celebrate L's big baptism weekend!)...However, all that planning and the only thing mommy and I didn't take into account was rain, rain, rain alllllllll day long...So, unfortunately we didn't get to spend as much time outside as we would've liked, but thank heavens for the studio to keep us happy and dry...So we played a little, went home and napped and ate a little, and then came back for round two!...All in all, it was a full and fun day and for being only six months old, baby L handled himself like a true seasoned pro!...So, you know the drill now, just a little tease to hold everyone over until all the proofs are ready in the coming days, and believe me, there's going to be a LOT!!!...I had a near impossible time picking just five for today's post because I already have so many favorites!!!...So, I hope you all enjoy today's little peek, and I especially hope y'all enjoy L's big day today, and of course, I'll be back again soon with more!...-EPJ

Ok, so whaddaya get when you mix a super-dee-duper gorgeous new mommy who doesn't even come close to resembling someone who just gave birth, a new daddy who giggles when his baby girl christens him all over his lap, and a two week old perfect little angel who sleeps for 3 solid hours and never fusses even once???...A perfect day in this photographer's eyes!!!...And did I even mention that mommy brought along the most precious little hat that I've ever seen ever, ever, ever?!?!...I'm totally on my way to buy the store out of every size, shape and color, because this hat is just too precious for words...Of course, it doesn't hurt one bit that little Miss A, is also absolutely too precious for words (looking like her momma's little mini-me!)...So, all in all, I'd say we had a GRRRREAT day!...And I just can't wait one second longer to show off Miss A to her mommy and daddy and family and friends...So, here y'all go!...Enjoy and I'll be back with more very soon!!!...-EPJ

Hands down, the greatest weather day ever, ever, ever!...And boy, did we deserve it, too!...I always hate having to reschedule a session due to impending bad weather, but as we all know, living in Alabama just unfortunately means that occasionally, the weather wins out and the session gets pushed back...So, after four or so days of rain, rain, rain, the sun finally came out to grace us with it's presence today, along with one or two pretty white clouds just to look nice in the background, and the world's most perfect temperature ever...I couldn't have asked for better...Oh, no wait, I almost forgot...So, on top of all that sheer perfection, I had the pleasure of meeting up with this GORGEOUS family of four (and a half!) that I could have just stayed with and shot for hours on end (although, I'm pretty sure that after awhile they were glad to get home and away from crazy picture lady!)...I had just the greatest time with y'all R & T, and there were sooooo many shots that I wanted to preview on the blog tonight for you, but, of course, I had to narrow it down just a wee bit and not go too overboard!...So, without further ado, I present you with a couple of my favs and believe me, there are LOTS more to come...See y'all again soon!!!...-EPJ

Well, ladies and gentleman and boys and girls, I am plumb tuckered out as they say!...Between school starting recently for my three little ones and playing catch-up with work, I have done worn myself out ;) ...Luckily for me, my handsome little friend, T-man, came to visit me again this afternoon and brought along a little energy boost for us all: BIRTHDAY CAKE!!!...Ok, well, to be fair, he did get most of it, but every now and then he'd toss a few crumbs my way or wipe a little icing on my camera if I got too close, so of course I had to give it a little taste and boy was it YUMMY!...No wonder he was diggin' in from head to toe!...So, here's a teensy preview (a little before, during and after cake action!) for mommy and the rest of the gang to check out, meanwhile, I'm going to go peak in on my littlest baby who's sleeping tonight in a big girl bed for the very first time ever {{{sniffle, sniffle}}}, then this momma is officially hitting the sack for some well deserved shut-eye!...Night-night my dear friends and sweet dreams to you all...See y'all again soon!...-EPJ

Whew!...Lordy y'all, I'm so sorry I'm laggin' behind these days!!!...I'm still trying to play catch-up from being sick and in and out of the hospital the last few weeks and on top of that, all three of my girls started school this week, so I am just totally POOPED!!!...I didn't even realize the extent of my tiredness until yesterday, and man did it hit me hard...I started off my morning having a fantabulous session with this absolutely precious little 6 month old angel, and by the time I got home, edited a few pics, picked up my girls, fed the family supper, hit the grocery store and got home to unpack and put everyone to bed, I completely crashed and burned!!!...So, now I'm in full force trying to get my energy back up and edit, edit, edit!!!...So, here's a little tease for mommy and daddy to enjoy while they spend the remainder of the week relaxing on the beach (I'm still totally jealous about that, by the way!)...Hope y'all enjoy (the pics and the beach!), and thanks again for coming all the way from the Ham to visit me :)!...I had a blast and I can't wait to do it again real soon!...Be back again soon with more!!!...-EPJ

I'm going to go ahead and go on the record as saying, I really don't know a whole heck of a lot about boys, after all, the Lord blessed me with three amazing little girls, which I love dearly with all of my heart and wouldn't trade for anything (on most days of the week, anyway!)...Of course, with my fantabulous job, I get to spend time with boys and girls of all ages and I think it goes without saying that I just LOVE, LOVE, L-O-V-E it!!!...Ok, now back to my point (because I promise you, I did have one!)...So, again, I concur that I don't really know that much about little boys, but I'd have to say after today's session with these two precocious little brothers, that it's just not fair that and it's just not right for two boys to be this dog-gone pretty!!!...I mean seriously, just look at them!!!...BEEEE-YOOOOO-TIFUL I tell ya!!!...The gorgeous meter was just off the chart today, and we had a blast as we beat the heat, played with rolly-pollies, snails, grasshoppers, and I think even ate a little dirt...All things, which I guess I just don't do often enough ;)...So, here's a little tease for everybody and of course, we all know by now that I'll be back again soon with more!...-EPJ

Maybe it's just me, but this year is absolutely FLYING by!!!...I mean, it's already August for heaven's sakes!!!...August, of course, means only one thing: HOT, HOT, H-O-T!...And yesterday's sessions certainly didn't disappoint...There were two families, four adults, three children and one super-dee-duper HOT, unrelenting sun shining down on us showing absolutely no mercy whatsoever!...I have to say, they were all real troopers though, and to look at these little sneak peeks, you'd hardly even know that inside we all felt like we were dying ;) ...So, here's your little tease and as always, I'll be back again soon with more!...And as a little side note, I have to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers these last few weeks as I was under the weather and in and out of the ER and other various doctors trying to figure out what in the world was wrong with me...My diagnoses is still up in the air, but I'm finally beginning to feel better and able to get back to work again...Praise the good Lord for that and thanks once again to you all for your well wishes!!!...I appreciate it more than words can say...See y'all again soon! -EPJ

So, I had this absolutely amazing e-session yesterday evening and all I can say is B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!...I mean look at them, simply gorgeous...Talk about making my job easy!...And on top of that, here it is the end of June, in Alabama none-the-less, and the weather was purely fantastical ;) ...Well, let me take that back for a sec, because it was pretty fantastical for myself and Miss E, the beautiful bride-to-be, but for J, her super handsome fiance who started off the session in his rather dapper Naval Uniform (his WOOL uniform at that!), it was maybe just a wee smidgen HOT!...But he survived those first few shots for us, and after that, it was totally a piece of cake!...And honestly, I have to tell you, this was really hard for me to choose just a few sneak peeks for today's blog, because there were LOTS of favorites on my part...That being said, ENJOY your little tease, because there's a bunch more on the way in the near future!...Be back again soon!...-EPJ

Busy as a bee, that's me :)...What a busy, busy, busy week it's been and so it continues with no rest in sight for the weary!!!...The moment we returned from our beach trip, I got to work right away volunteering at VBS for the entire week!...I'm telling you what, there's nothing that will wear a grown adult out more than 5 hot summer days in a row tending to 15 3-5 year olds!!!...Can someone say "NAP!" and I don't mean the kiddies, I mean ME!!!...So, today VBS ended, and just as soon as I walked out of the doors of the church, I headed to what turned out to be an absolutely GORGEOUS maternity session, where I had the pleasure of meeting S and W and dare I not forget the most perfect baby bump I've just about ever seen...Ummm, after three little ones myself, I was definitely more than a smidgen jealous :) ...Oh, and can you believe this insanely gorgeous mommy-to-be warned me ahead of time that she's not photogenic?!?!?!?!...Yeah, right!...I'm not buying that excuse again :)...So, enjoy this little preview from our HOT HOT HAWT sunset session, and you know the drill, I'll be back soon with more!...-EPJ

Yesterday was just a BEEE-YOOO-TIFUL day AND more importantly, my first of many beach sessions for 2009 and I can't even begin to tell you how many fan-tab-ulous shots we got with this gorgeous family!!!...Mommy & Daddy are friends of ours from home and big sister is one of my middle daughter's best little buddies, and then there's baby brother who is just an absolute, total and complete living doll!!!...So, we're all down here in various locations on the Gulf Coast having a great vacation, and you know what I've been doing the whole time???...Working!!!...Yep, I've been down here for two full days, and the only time I've stepped foot in the sand is for this little family beach session...Other than that, I'm still trying my hardest to recuperate from being sick this past week, so I've been strictly indoors getting caught up on work since the moment we got here...Hopefully, I'll be able to get my tan on soon enough, but before I even think about that, it's work, work, work!!!...So, here's a smidgen of a sneak peek from our session and I hope to be back again soon with more...Actually, I hope to be feeling better and be on the beach from here on out, but if that's not gonna happen, then perhaps you'll be seeing more of me later this week...PRAY that you don't though, because I wanna catch some rays ;)...Have a good one and see y'all again soon (but hopefully not too soon!)...-EPJ

Hey y'all!!!...Well, I'm thankfully back in the land of the living, after being severely sick all day today...And I should mention that I almost NEVER get truly sick...Sure, my kids do all the time, and I feel downright icky a good bit of the time, but not anything like I felt today...I even had my sweet hubby drive me to the doctor's office because I could barely walk, let alone drive myself...Oh, and did I mention that I almost NEVER go to the doctor, too?...I've got to cut that out though and just stop trying to be so tough, because bless my Dr.'s heart, she got me feeling better in no time (after the medication and the nap kicked in, of course!)...So, thanks to being out like a light most of the day, I'm just a smidgen late posting these little teases from yesterday's mini-sessions at a beautiful park up the road from me a ways in Fultondale...It was HOT, HOT, HOT and BRIGHT, BRIGHT, BRIGHT, but hey, that's what you get when you live down south and meet at 3:00 on a beautiful June afternoon...We made the most of it though, and I had the pleasure of meeting two new fabulous families, thanks to G & L and little man (in the middle picture) setting the mini-sessions up for us...Y'all should recognize little man from back in December '08...Those gorgeous baby blues and delicious chubby cheeks are impossible to forget!!!...So, here's a small tease for everyone who came out yesterday...I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you all and I hope you enjoy!...Also as a reminder, I will be out of town for our first set of beach sessions starting tomorrow morning, and will be back in the office again on Monday morning...I will post the remainder of proofs not yet online as well as return all emails, phone calls, etc. upon my arrival back home next week...Thanks for your patience and understanding and can't wait to see you all very soon!...-EPJ

I had so much fun with this 9 day old little man yesterday...Although I'm sure he wouldn't say the same for me, because bless his heart, he was so over this crazy picture taking lady!!!...All he wanted to do was sleep, and truth be told, that's all his mommy and daddy and I wanted, too, but once the picture taking got under way, he'd get mad as a hornet at us...I bet once it was all said and done though, he probably went home and slept like a little angel last night...Well, inspite of all that, we had a GRRRREAT session, and I have so, so, so many favorites to post... Let's just say that the old expression, "raining cats and dogs", doesn't even begin to apply here...For today, we should've changed it to "raining horses and elephants" or something equally LARGE to match the amount of rainfall we experienced during today's session...So, today's sweet little family session was definitely a LONG time coming, as the last time we were scheduled to meet, we ended up having to reschedule due to severe thunderstorms and possible hail and tornadoes (I don't mess around with those tornado warnings!)...Well, today, I wasn't going to let anything stand in our way and I set out on a mission, and by golly, I wasn't going to leave until I accomplished it!!!...Of course, within 5 minutes of my arrival, the entire family watched me squeal like a little baby girl and run like a puppy with it's tail between it's legs when the lightening practically seemed to hit the porch we were all standing on!!!...Thankfully, all was well, and shortly thereafter we were able to get started...It was wet, soggy, muddy and WAY WAY WAY overcast, and not quite an hour later, the bottom fell out of the sky all over again, but in that small window of opportunity, we were able to get a number of precious shots that I know mommy and daddy and the rest of the family will just love!...And I have to say, normally I don't do and have never done an entire sneak preview of all black & whites, and even though I have plenty color shots from today, it only seemed fitting with the weather like it was, to bring out the good ol' classic B&W shots to remember the afternoon as it was...So, please enjoy this little tease, and I'll see you all again very soon!...-EPJ

Well, as usual, it's been a BUSY month around my neck of the woods to say the very least...May is always a little bit crazy for me with all the end of the school year stuff, recitals, birthdays, parties, etc, etc, etc...And today didn't slow down one little bit either...On top of it being my oldest daughter's birthday today (HAPPY BIRTHDAY sweetie!!!), I also got to (thankfully!) leave the crazy pre-teen sleepover that was happening at home, and head over to the studio to meet this super sweet, super mobile 3 month old!!!...Bless his heart, I guess nobody told him that he's only three months old and he's not supposed to move around so much, but he was trying to roll over half the time, and I swear he was trying to scoot everywhere the rest of the time!!!...What a busy little bee! ...But we all had fun together on this dreary Saturday, and I'm really looking forward to getting a run for my money tomorrow when little J comes back for a visit with his one year old TWIN cousins!!!...So, here's the teensiest little sneek peak of this morning (from the very first sleepy shot of the morning, all the way up to J getting fed up with us for all the cute little hat changes!) and then I'm gonna go and rest up for J and A and E tomorrow, 'cause from what I hear, it sounds like I'm going to need my energy ;) ...Be back soon!...-EPJ

What a beautiful, BEAUTIFUL wedding weekend we had around here!!!...Everything was so unbelievably spectacular: the church, the reception, the weather, the families, the friends, and of course the beautiful couple themselves!!!...It really couldn't have been more perfect if you had tried (especially once the air kicked in inside the church!)...B & P, you and your families & friends are all so incredibly wonderful, and I truly cannot thank you all enough for allowing me the honor and privilege to be a part of your special day...I always say that I'm so blessed to be able to do what I do, and I always feel it even more so when I walk away from a wedding feeling so much love & happiness in the air, and feeling like I didn't just have a shoot with clients, but with friends :) ...I wish you both all the best, much love and happiness forever & ever, and I hope y'all are having an absolutely amazing, fantabulous, and (most importantly) SWINE-FLU-FREE honeymoon!!!...Here's just a wee smidgen of a tease for today, because later this week, I plan on posting just a few more of my personal favs!!!...See y'all soon...-EPJ

Sorry, sorry, SOOO SOOO sorry!...I'm just a wee bit late on this one, so I have to thank you all for your patience and understanding these last few days...Friday, I had the FUNNEST (yep, that's an Elana word!) e-session and it really made me just SO incredibly happy and T & T have been declared my new BFFs (whether they want to be or not!)...We did everything from dumpster diving, to getting chased by a wild pack of dogs, to wading in snake infested overgrowth, to a smidgen of trespassing, to ending up the night over a few drinks at the local bar (only kidding of course on some of those!)...See, FUN, FUN, FUN I tell you!!! But along with the joy of the day, came great sadness as well, as my trusty, old-reliable, handy-dandy dear old laptop officially lost her life...I think it was her time to go...Those of you who knew "her", remember that she was held together with duct tape for the last few months of her life (bless her), but be that as it may, she was a good, good friend and never (ok, rarely) let me down!!!...So, these last few days I've been busting my tush to transfer & save what I could to my two new computers, and praying that my old hard drive at the very least made it out alive from the computer Doctor (and survive she did...Thank you Dr. Chip!!!)...So, better late than never, right???...Hope y'all enjoy your little preview T & T, and as always, I'll be back with more!...-EPJ

Ok, what is this, like maybe my third session already this year that was shot with tornadoes going on all around us?!?!...Crazy I tell ya!...Alabama is something else, but the good news is, we're all safe around here and apparently, it does make for some nice pics ;)...So, I was scheduled to meet up with B & D and their two insanely gorgeous (and I do mean stunningly BEAUTIFUL!) girls in the later part of the afternoon, but when we heard there were some storms just around the corner, we moved our session up a wee little bit and I'd say we got finished up just in the nick of time!!!...These girls (and their momma & daddy, too) were a hoot and we had a good old time down at the creek today...That little T is gonna be a total heart breaker one of these days so daddy better watch out, and little miss B (who happens to be my youngest daughter's best bud & partner in crime at the daycare) is seriously the cutest little booger ever, ever, ever!...That B totally cracks me up and I can see without a doubt who rules the roost in y'alls house ;) ...So, after dodging tornado sirens all night, and going in and out of the cellar with the fam, I finally had a spare second to post just a smidgen of a tease for y'all, so hope y'all like 'em and I'll have more real soon!...-EPJ

More, more, more!!!...It almost seems that this week's posts are unending, doesn't it?!? ;)...Well, please do allow me a moment to apologize to this beautiful, happy couple...We had to postpone their original engagement session over a week ago, due to a crazy band of storms coming through the area (you know that fun Alabama weather system!), and we finally had the pleasure of meeting up this past Friday, for what thankfully turned out to be a GORGEOUS day!!!...And although I had hoped to get a little sneak peek posted at some point in time before now, like I mentioned in yesterday's first post, my schedule has had me going ninety to nothing for some time now, and this weekend was no different!...Immediately following Friday's e-session, my family and I headed up the road to Anniston for the night, only to return late that evening for me to prepare for Saturday's all day (and night) wedding SPECTACULAR (picture previews from that to follow in the next post!), then Birmingham called my oldest daughter and I until about 11pm Sunday, and a business trip to the beach with my hubby and two youngest girls Monday through Wednesday rounds out my last six days!...So, that should just about catch me up since last week!!!...Whew!...So again, my sincerest apologies for not posting sooner, but I do hope you enjoy this little tease even if I am a day or two behind...The rest are soon to follow!...-EPJ

And now, round two!...Also known as the world's fastest photosession :) ...So, one of my bestest friends ever and her two little ones, along with nana, myself, and two out of my three girls, all drove up to this fantastic historical location right on the beautiful Georgia coastline, and as it turned out, it was mere moments away from closing time...Add to that the billions upon billions of sandgnats that obviously thought we were their supper, and you then have the world's fastest, 10 minutes and not a second longer, photosession!!!...But I have to say, in those 10 minutes, my sweet little G & M (ok, so they're not technically "mine", but I do like to borrow them from time to time!) were fabulous and gave me lots of smiles and knew perfectly well how to work the camera ;)...They've obviously done this before!!!...So, I've now decided that I'll have to go back this summer while the gnats are hibernating, and maybe we'll fight off the 115 degree Savannah summers for a 15-20 minute session next time :)...Love y'all and see you soon we hope!!!...-EPJ

Oh me, oh my, get ready, and get set, because here come LOTS and LOTS of catch-up posts!!!...Spring has sprung around here and with a major vengence at that, because I have had (and continue to have) one slam jammed schedule here lately (YAY for that!!!)...So, just three weeks ago, the family and I had a whirlwind trip to Georgia to visit friends that we haven't seen in forever over Spring Break week, and of course I threw in two of the fastest photo sessions of all time for two of my sweetest friends in the world...First up for a little sneak peek, one of my dearest childhood friends will be twice blessed in the coming weeks with TWINS; a boy AND a girl!!!...So, Mommy and big-sister-to-be and I, set out to capture just a few belly pics during our quick little visit together...I can't believe that it was just 4 years ago that this sweet big-sis-to-be was inside her mommy's belly and they were my very first belly session ever!...My, how the years have changed!!!...So, without further ado, here's a smidgen of a tease for you A :) ...I'll have the rest up VERY soon, so get ready, 'cause there's lots more to come!!!...-EPJ

Oh my goodness gracious!...How do I keep getting so incredibly lucky as to get these sweet, sweet babies visiting me and all of them with these deliciously perfect baby-blue eyes?!?!...Ahhhhh, it's a photographer's dream!!!...Well, baby J came to visit me yesterday afternoon, and it was just a simply gorgeous Spring day, so we started out in the studio for a bit, and then we couldn't help ourselves but to venture outside as well!...J was such a complete and total doll, that I had a super hard time trying to pick only a few previews for today's blog...It was nearly impossible to narrow it down, but since I had to, here's just a teeny little tease for mommy & daddy & the rest of the family to hold you all over until all of the oodles and oodles of adorable proofs are ready in the coming days...Hope y'all enjoy!!!...-EPJ

I had the absolute pleasure on this lovely Friday the 13th, of photographing this sweet little man!...Six months old, and he's already had his first haircut!!!...And what a total doll baby he is, too!...Mommy & little T drove over an hour to see me today, and poor T really and truly didn't want any part of me once they finally arrived, but I was sneaky and we got some A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E shots regardless!!!...As hard as he tried not to smile for me, I think my crazy, loony self finally got the better of him!...So, without further ado, after almost 3 days of my internet being out of commission, I am soooo happy to finally be back online and get to post this little sneak preview of T for his mommy & daddy and everybody else to enjoy!!!...I am leaving first thing tomorrow morning for vacation and will be back next week, so if you need to get ahold of me, please remember that I will be returning all emails and messages starting next Thursday...Thanks so much and I'll see you all soon!...-EPJ

In the great words of my adorable five year old, "You have GOT to be kidding me?!?!"...That's how I feel about all the craziness that has gone on these final two weeks as I've been prepping to have the big Grand Opening celebration at the new studio tomorrow afternoon...Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, anything that can go wrong will, and although the studio is ALMOST there and coming along super-duper beautifully, I unfortunately have to postpone our big celebration just a wee bit longer...I hope this doesn't put anyone out, but I am just so close to having everything PERFECT, and I wouldn't want anyone to come in and see the new location and meet me with it being anything less than that!...So, stay tuned to the blog, as I will certainly keep you all updated on the new date and time of the big day, because I truly hope to see you all there!!!...In the mean time, I am still taking appointments and scheduling sessions, so don't hesitate to call or email today to set up your session...My spring/summer calendar is already filling up quickly, so don't get left out!...Can't wait to hear from you all and see you all soon, and since you know I can't post without a pic, here's another litte sneak peek of the yummy little angel from my most recent session...Everytime I see her sweet face I just wanna eat her up! :)...Be back again soon...-EPJ

Well, I have always said that I love how my job allows me to meet new people each and every day, and there's just nothing better, but what is definitely just as awesome is when I get to reconnect with friends from my past!!!...It makes me SOOOOO, soooooo, sooooo much happier than words can say!!!...So, yesterday I headed off to visit some dear friends that I haven't seen since my oldest daughter was probably about 4 or 5 years old, and now she's about to be 11, so if you do the math, it's been a while!...In fact, it had been way too long!...So, all these years later, and M & G have finally been blessed with the most scrumptious, delicious, smiley bundle of joy that I've ever seen!...I actually announced many times that I was going to have to take sweet baby D home with me :) ...Well, either that or I'm moving in with them, because I'm just as much in love with their gorgeous home as I am with their gorgeous daughter!...So, here are just a couple of sneak previews for you of your yummy little rolly-polly, and I just LOVED getting to visit with y'all so let's be sure to do it again very soon!!!...Love ya!...-EPJ

Oh how I love having the honor & privilege of photographing a sweet, delicious little newborn!!!...Yesterday morning, I finally was able to meet sweet baby girl "P", after shooting her mommy's belly pics only 3 days before she made her grand arrival into the world!!!...I'm so glad we got those done just in the nick of time, and now, here it is already a month later (whew, time sure does fly!!!)...So, since I know mommy was a little nervous at the session because her sweet little princess was a smidgen fussy at times (but really, aren't we all?!?!), I want to show off these precious little sneak peeks so she knows we got some super duper cute images, and she's going to have plenty, plenty, plenty to choose from!!!...ENJOY!...-EPJ

I had the pleasure this weekend of meeting and shooting this beautiful mommy & daddy-to-be, as they await the upcoming arrival of their first baby girl any day now!!!...We had a fun filled afternoon of heading here, there and everywhere, and even though mommy knew in her head the specific shots she was looking for, she was also super awesome to let me experiment a little with her precious baby bump, and try a few funky & different styled shots as well :) ...I love a mommy who not only knows what she wants, but also feels comfortable enough to trust me to "play around" a bit!!!...Hopefully the two styles mesh well together for mommy, and y'all will enjoy this little sneak peek as you patiently wait for your sweet baby girl to make her big arrival in the coming days (or hours even?!?!) and I can't wait to meet little miss P for her newborn session in the very near future!!!...Enjoy and remember, there's lots more to come!!!...-EPJ

Happy New Year everyone!...And what a year 2008 was!...Thank you so much to all of my wonderful clients, family & friends who made '08 truly great :)...I am looking forward to seeing what 2009 holds for everyone and I hope to see you all for your '09photo sessions very soon!...So many wonderful changes are in store for Elana P. LITTLE SWEET CHEEKS!

So, this weekend we hosted the annual family Christmas party for my husband's side of the family, and this little precious angel is my Mother-in-law's cousin's baby boy (I think I got that right?!?!)...Well, of course I just couldn't let them leave the party without doing a super quick (and I do mean SUPER QUICK!) mini-session...We went outside as everyone was starting to leave, and due to the cold and the wind, I don't think we were out there for more than 4 minutes total, and in those 4 minutes I took exactly 27 shots, and of those 27, only one shot had his eyes closed, so not too shabby for a 4 minute mini-session, huh?!?!?...Well, it's no wonder that all 26 images are as adorable as can be, with those scrumptious cheeks and those gorgeous baby blue eyes, I knew it was a photo session made in heaven!...Of course, with every image being so darn cute, I couldn't decide what to post as a sneak peek on the blog today, so I'll just post as many as can fit and I'll have the rest posted on my website real soon for mommy and daddy to see...Hope everyone is having a truly wonderful holiday season...Merry Christmas Eve to you all and I'll be back soon with more!...-EPJ

I really have lost count of how many times I've said it in the past, and I'm pretty sure you'll hear me say it again in the very near future, but man oh man, do I LOVE my job!!!...I am so incredibly blessed to be able to meet all the amazing people that I meet, and capture all these incredibly special moments in all of their lives...I mean really, does it get any better than that?!?!...And of course, sweet baby boy J is no exception!!!...I have been fortunate enough to see him "grow-up" (if you will) over the past nine months, and change from a teensy weensy little newbie, into a (almost!) little boy!!!...I can't get over it...I mean, he's this little teeny preemie one second, and a chunky-monkey, speed crawlin', tongue stickin' out, laughin' little man the next!...Time passes WAY too fast!...And I already can't wait for our next session...He'll be a cake smashing one year old the next time we meet!!!...We'll have a blast at that session, too!...In the mean time, here's some little sneaks for mommy and daddy of this past weekend...We had a great session with LOTS of great shots, and since I had a hard time deciding on only a few of my favorites for this preview, just know that there are LOTS, LOTS, LOTS more to come!!!...Enjoy!...-EPJ

WE'VE COME A LONG WAY!

So, it was my senior year of high school and the phone rings, and on the other end of the phone I hear, "Hey Elana, it's 'K'. I hear you're planning on going to the University of Alabama next year and I was wondering if you'd like to room together?"...And the rest, as they say, is history...So, 'K' and I, two girls from Savannah, who went to two different high schools and had only met a small handful of times, became Tutwiler roomies our freshman year, and now here we are more than a decade later, with four little girls between the two of us...My how times have changed!!!...As 'K' said during our session, "We've gone from pigging out on Ben & Jerry's Chunky-Monkey in our dorm room, to singing A-B-C's and playing peek-a-boo!"...I'll never forget sitting in my teeny little dorm bed one afternoon, and 'K' running in to tell me all about the boy in her math class that she had just met and was going to marry, and lo and behold, now here they both are all these years later and they just had their first precious baby girl only a few short weeks ago!...I'm so happy to have been able to be a part of it all...Granted, just a small little part of it, but a part nonetheless...So, without further ado, presenting a sneak peek of baby girl C and her beautiful family...May baby C grow up to love Krispy Kreme donuts as much as her momma and I did!!!...-EPJ

I remember when my family went from three to four (then eventually five!), and getting to experience the wonder of my "baby" no longer being "the" baby and officially becoming a "big sister!"...I love being able to experience it through another family's eyes over and over again while behind the camera doing my job...I always say that I have the best job in the world, and it's so true and it never ceases to amaze me...And this sweet big sister was no exception...She was so loving to her new baby brother, so much in fact, that she didn't even complain (too much!) when her new baby tee-teed all over her!...Now THAT'S a good big sister!!!...I had a wonderful evening session getting to know the W family and I look forward to watching these two special little ones grow up and love each other more and more with each passing day...Hope mommy and daddy enjoy these quick little sneak peeks of their precious family, and, as always, I'll be back again soon with more...-EPJ

TWO DAYS IN A ROW!

Yep, two blog posts, two days in a row!...Can you even believe it?!...Well, actually, I should've posted this along with yesterday's post, since I had two sessions this past Saturday (baby J in the morning, and the C family in the evening), but I was nursing a pretty rotten migraine yesterday, so the fact that I was even able to get one session preview up and running is pretty amazing if you think about it...I just knew that two at once would seriously be pushing it!...So, I'm attempting a few edits today, just to tease momma C with until the proofs are ready in a week or two...So, here are a few fun shots of the C kiddos, but I have to use the term "kiddos" loosely, since the oldest of the bunch is 20, the middle is 16, and the "baby" is five!!!...These kids were cracking me up...They (five year old included) didn't want any part of me or my camera, but I think by the end of the session, even though they might not admit it, they had a pretty good time, too!...So, enjoy these fun pictures of your reluctant children mom & dad, and I can't wait to show you the rest very soon!!!...-EPJ

Time really does pass quickly, doesn't it?...I remember the first time I ever met sweet baby J, he was sooooo teensy tiny, and now here it is already six months later and he's growing into such a handsome and fun little guy!...Complete with chubby cheeks and thunder thighs, just like I like 'em!...And boy oh boy, does he love to smile!!!...I was so excited that baby J and his mommy and daddy were here on such a beautiful summer day, so we could get outside and enjoy nature for a bit...Babies always love it outside, and J was certainly no exception...Although, he was definitely all boy because he was way more interested in the cars and trucks driving by than he was me and my silly ol' camera!...Thankfully, I was able to get his attention diverted from the traffic for a few seconds here and there, and I think we ended up with some great shots for the day...Enjoy and as always, I'll be back again soon with more...-EPJ

Holy-moly!...The whole month of May just came and went, now didn't it?!?!...May is always a crazy month for me personally, so this shouldn't have come as any big surprise...There's of course Mother's Day, and then my dear hubby's birthday, plus my oldest daughter's birthday, not to even mention all the end of the school year goings on, plus this year in particular, my husband was out of town for 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month, and to top it all off, we decided to throw buying a new house in just for good measure!...Needless to say, I'm pooped!...But worn out or not, I've got just a few recent samples to show off, and then I've got to get back to packing because we're due to move in 5 days and I haven't even packed the first box yet!!!...Hope y'all enjoy the previews and I'll be back soon with more!...-EPJ

Holy cow!...2-0-0-8 already?!?!...This is a huge, huge year!...First of all, I am officially an "Alabamian" and in honor of the new year & my new state, my website and blog are also brand new, too!!!...I just finished revamping my site, so I hope that you all enjoy the "new me" for 2008!...Secondly, 2008 is a big year for important birthdays, so there's a lot of celebrating to be done in the coming months...My oldest baby turns 10 this year (TEN?!?) and my littlest baby turns 1!!!...In fact, just 9 days left until I'll be cleaning up icing and cake crumbs all over my floor when my baby celebrates her first birthday...Time really does pass way, way too fast...And then there's me (speaking of time passing too quickly!); In just over a month, I'll be celebrating my big 3-0!!!...Oh my goodness, oh my goodness...THIRTY?!?!...Can you believe it?...I'm not depressed though, I'm actually looking quite forward to it...Yep, 30 sounds good...I think it's going to be a great year and I'm looking foward to what life has to bring my way...I hope life is great for all of you, too, and I look foward to meeting all my new Alabama neighbors very soon!...Take care...-EPJ

BUMPS & BABIES!

Whew!...I had an action packed start to my week, and I was all set to post some fun little previews for you all to enjoy, and then, for the bazillionth time, my internet went out on me!...Soooo, frustrating, but finally (and probably temporarily) it's back up and running, so really quickly, here you go!!!...My belly session on Monday was so much fun, and as I look back on the great shots we got, I am still shocked and amazed that she's got less than a month before delivery!!!...And then Tuesday, the weather took a turn for the worse, and I wasn't sure that my newborn session with baby boy L was going to happen, but mommy, daddy and I (with the help of sweet little L) made it happen, and I was pleasantly surprised with how great all the shots turned out, in spite of the fact that we did the session with almost no light whatsoever!...so, here's a quick little peek for you and there's bunches more where these came from!...-EPJ

TAG, I'M IT!

So, I've been "tagged" by one of my fellow photographer friends (thanks Amber!) and now I get to tell you 8 things about myself that you probably didn't know...Hmmmmm....Let's see............

1.) Ok, when I was a little girl, my dream job was to be an obstetrician...I LOVED babies even then, and I thought it was the greatest thing ever to help bring them into the world...Of course, photographing babies is even better in my opinion (it's usually a little less messy!) ;)
2.) If I were stranded on a desert island and I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, I would pick sushi...I LOVE me some sushi!...Mmmmmmmm, good!!!...Breakfast, lunch or dinner, I'd be all set!...Man, now I'm in the mood for sushi; GREAT!
3.) I have a severe addiction to the TV show, FRIENDS...I've seen every episode a minimum of a hundred times, and could quote almost any and every line...I cried buckets during the finale and I still get a little misty eyed to this day just thinking about it :( ...On the plus side, one of the happiest days of my life, next to my 3 children being born and my wedding day, was when I got to attend a taping of the "Regis and Kelly" show and JENNIFER ANISTON was the guest!...I've almost never been so happy in my whole life!...
4.) Ummmm, this is getting harder...Ok, boring, but I have a basset hound that's like my fourth daughter...She's my 3rd basset that I've had in my lifetime... My parents got our first basset when I was 5 and I'm still to this day such a sucker for those long, droopy ears and those sad, sad eyes!
5.) I'm an insane neat freak and I have this awful habit of straightening up after people while they're still around...I'll fluff the pillows they're sitting next to on the sofa, I'll pick up their purse or keys and move it to a less conspicuous spot, etc, etc, etc...I think I have a mild case of OCD...I may need to have that checked out!
6.) I'm a huge fan of musical theater even though I can't carry a tune to save my life...I'll sit through the same show a hundred times and never get sick of it...Thankfully, my girls LOVE it, too!...Just a few of my favorites include: Miss Saigon, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Buddy (the Buddy Holly Story), Sunset Boulevard, Grease and if you're ever in Savannah GA, any and every show that the Savannah Theatre puts on!

7.) I'm a big time family person...I love my dear friends terribly, but my family is where my heart and soul is and everything I do and everything that I am is because of them...I am so incredibly blessed and I thank the Lord each and every day for them!
8.) Not sure if you can tell, but I have this bad habit of rambling on and on and on and on and on and...............................................................................

SEPTEMBER, ALREADY!

Oh my goodness!...Where has the year gone?...I can't believe it's already September!...Well, hopefully this means some nice fall weather soon because I truly believe this crazy extreme heat is killing my brain cells slowly but surely!...Speaking of extreme heat, last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet little guy & shooting his pics for about 2 hours in the intense summer sun...It was fun, but ooooh weeee, was it hot!...I learned my lesson though & next time I'm bringing along my swimsuit so when we're all done, I can hop in the pool, too, just like all his cousins did...Smart (and cool!) little kiddies!...Well, here's a little sneek peak for mommy, grandmomma, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc, etc, etc...The rest of the session to come very soon!!!...Have a great Labor Day weekend everyone!...-EPJ

WHEN IT RAINS, IT POURS!

Have you ever just had one of those days?...Well, that's what the past 2 weeks of my life have been like around here!...So, we returned from vacation & started (trying) to get readjusted to normal life again (whatever that is!)...Well, just a quick little rundown of what it's been like around here since returning...So, that Saturday we got home & then Sunday my hubby left to start his new job in Alabama, Wednesday was open house at the elementary school, Thursday was the first day of school & I made an emergency trip to the dentist only to find out I was in need of a root canal!!!...Then Friday morning the school nurse calls for me to pick up my sick daughter, who then came home and spent all day in bed with a stomach virus & at 2am the next morning my 3 year old wakes up sick, too...Well, we got through the rough weekend & Tuesday I had my root canal...Wednesday I was fortunate enough to come down with the stomach virus the girls had & then the rest of the week was spent trying to recover!...So, here we are now, just a little over 2 weeks from when all this fun stuff started, and I keep thinking & telling myself it's bound to get better...It IS bound to get better, right???...Well, in the teensiest bit of spare time that I found over the past couple of weeks, I made an attempt to finish up editing a few sessions I had from a while back, so without further adooooooo....TA-DA!...Just a little sample of some of my recent sessions...Thanks for your patience & I'll be back again soon with more (more pictures that is; hopefully not more stories!!!)...-EPJ

SENIOR SESSION SNEAK PEEK!

Just a week before leaving for our family vacation to Disney World, I had the pleasure of photographing these two handsome young gentlemen!...It was a long, hot evening of going here, there & everywhere trying to capture some amazing shots as these boys get ready to begin their SENIOR YEAR!!!...As long as the evening was, I must say it was such a treat to work with these young men...They seemed to really be having a blast making their moms into nervous wrecks, & it felt like a vacation for me to not have to be chasing around little ones for once during a session!...And, since a week at Disney World with 3 young children, while battling the extreme heat & busy tourist season, wasn't truly my idea of a relaxing vacation, I've fallen a wee bit behind on my editing, but I'll be up to date again soon enough!...So while the moms wait anxiously to see their son's proofs, I'm going to give them just a quick little sneak peek at what's to come...Enjoy & I'll be back soon with more!...-EPJ
